Hi,
My name is Alexandria Hinderholtz.
Just in case you haven’t noticed my name is a bit longer than most so I go by
Ali which is based off the karate kid’s girlfriend. My major at the moment is
Interior design, but next year I am moving to Arizona to go to ASU which
explains why my background has cactus's. I plan on double majoring in architecture
and interior design which isn’t a very English based subject which most of you could
have probably guessed.
Math is one of my favorite subjects
which might lead some to believe that English is not. Those who think that are absolutely…
correct. Reading is not my strong point because big words scare me. Also, I think
it’s a little too easy to get distracted while reading. Most of us have
probably experienced when you start thinking about something else and your eyes
keep moving down the page. Well that happens to me a lot so I just prefer not
to read. Which might indicate that I have ADHD… So, I stopped in the middle of
this sentence to look up the symptoms of it, which also indicates that I might
have it. Instead of finding symptoms I took a quiz which confirmed my
assumption, but because it’s online it doesn’t count as a real but oh well.
Anyway,
because of my lack of reading ability my writing isn’t exactly the best. I tend
to talk a lot, except in front of a group of people, so my writing is more like
how I talk than how I probably should write. I also spell how words sound which
in the English language doesn’t always work out that well. I guess that lesson
in grade school should be edited a bit. Good thing we have spell check and grammar
check. Hopefully I can work on improving a few of these issues in ENG 101, but
only time will tell.
