DISNEY WORLD!!!

Over spring break I am going to the place where dreams come true. DISNEY WORLD!! I may be turning 20 in May but I love Disney world. I have gone there 15 times in my life. One of the main things I love doing in Disney World is take someone who has never been there before and show them all the fun things there are to do. We also have a lot of fun and unpleasant adventures on the way there and while we are there.
I have a special needs sister. She is 18 but she has the mental capacity of a 3-year-old. The first adventure starts with getting through security. She doesn’t have very good balance and feels the need to touch the sides of the metal detector. Which just in case you didn’t know, that sets it off. She also doesn’t like loud noises and doesn’t understand when a bunch of people come up and surround her. So normally she sets off the metal detector. A bunch of people in blue gloves come over to find out if she has a bomb while my aunt is freaking out. I’m trying to figure out what to do and our stuff is going through the scanner without anyone to get it at the end. This year we will attempt to avoid all that. Wish us luck. The next adventure is whether or not she will freak out about getting on the plane, fun stuff. Eventually she will get on.
After that we know at some point after we get to Disney World she will get sick. We don’t know where or when but it will happen. Oh and I forgot to mention on top of all this she is scared of the characters that walk around the park. Lucky for us, if I remember correctly they don’t come up to children anymore. You have to get into a line to see them. There are plenty of adventures in Disney with my sister but she loves it and I’m defiantly going to enjoy the sun and showing my boyfriend everything Disney has to offer.

  1. Well I have to give you props for not only being excited about going but looking forward to the mess that you know could and probally will ensue. I am not sure which I am more impressed about: the fact that you are looking forward to all this or the fact that you've been to Disney World 15 times. I have Grandparents that live down there and I've been to Disney maybe twice. So kudos on that. I hope you enjoy the sun and the warmer weather.

  2. My friend Ali who goes to school here is doing the Disney program! She is a princess and wears costumes. Maybe you'll randomly cross paths. It's a small worlds after all. Have a nice break!

  3. That is awesome that you've been to Disney so many times. I've been to Disney World once and Disney Land once. Personally, I liked Disney Land better because California is so beautiful (so is Florida, but I just like California better) and it is a lot smaller. But it sounds like you and your family have a blast every time you go. Hopefully your sister gets through the metal detector okay! Good Luck! And have fun!

  5. 15 times, Wow! I hope you and your sister had a blast this time around. You should think about interning for Disney. A few of my friends did it and they said it was the best experience they ever had while in school.
